Our intention as a coffee shop has always been to be a positive gathering space for our community. Come on over! We have 5 locations, and are a local, independent & woman-owned business.
Our coffee is roasted daily at our East Washington location using a Sivetz Air Roaster. We serve our coffee within days of being roasted, so you will always get a fresh cup.
From soups to sandwiches, our kitchen makes delicious food! We make our own scones, muffins, breads, granola, biscotti, chai, salads & more! Come on in to check out our latest offerings.
ABOUT OUR COFFEE
At EVP, we use a Sivetz Fluid Bed Roaster, which is an air roaster pioneered by the late Michael Sivetz. His invention of the Fluid Bed Roaster represented the first real breakthrough in coffee roasting design in nearly 100 years. There are many benefits to air roasting, which include:
Flavor: Fresh, air roasted coffee has fantastic flavor and aroma.
Consistency: Air roasters uses fresh hot air to
roast coffee, rather than a heated surface used by conventional drum roasters. The result is a clean roast that is free from bitter tasting tars and sour acids.
Uniform roast: Our roaster is able to roast the
beans uniformly . No burnt coffee & no undesirable flavors!
